2026–2027 Sponsorship Prospectus

We're changing the face of public health innovation.

The CUNY School of Public Health and Public Health Policy (CUNY SPH) has spent decades shaping the people who power public health. Now, through Firefly Innovations, it is helping build the ventures that can transform it.

This fall, Firefly evolves into a full venture studio. It's a proving ground for high-impact ventures ready for deeper support, stronger networks, and real institutional momentum.

01 / The Program

CUNY SPH is done waiting for the future to arrive.

Firefly Innovations is CUNY SPH's public health entrepreneurship platform, built to make public health more agile by helping create and scale innovations that expand access to clinical and social care, reduce the cost of care, and build trust in the system.

This fall, Firefly evolves from an 8-week summer accelerator into a 9-month venture studio for a highly selected cohort — combining CUNY SPH's institutional depth with QUAY Acceleration's operating model to move companies toward adoption, investment, and scale.

Why now

The window to act is now. Firefly backs ventures that bend the curve and make healthcare more accessible.

What makes the model different

IAuthority

Institutional Authority

Firefly sits inside CUNY SPH, one of the top public health schools in the country and the only accredited-school-of-public-health platform of its kind. That gives founders access to faculty, alumni, and institutional relationships most startups cannot reach on their own.

IIDiscipline

Venture Studio Discipline

The new model pairs a signature pitch competition with six months of milestone-driven support: mentorship, venture-building, investor readiness, and tailored guidance for companies ready to move beyond early traction.

IIIMission

Public Good Advantage

Firefly takes zero equity, keeping founders focused on impact while helping sponsors engage a vetted pipeline of ventures working to expand access, reduce cost, and build trust in the health system.
